A Little About Me
I graduated from nursing school at Elmira College in 2007, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was immediately hired as a Labor & Delivery Nurse in a hospital in Albany NY. I learned that as a nurse, I had a significant role in ensuring my patients had a positive birth experience. I knew that my compassion, knowledge, and support could and WOULD impact the most important day in a family’s life.
I went on to become a travel nurse, where I made sure to learn from every doctor, midwife, nurse, and patient that I encountered. I then became certified in my labor and delivery when I passed my RNC exam in Inpatient Obstetrics.
I am a wife and mom to two active children under the age of 10 and became very passionate about my own health and wellness journey following the birth of my second child. I’ve created a community of like-minded moms and regained a sense of self after giving birth through movement and nutrition. At the end of the day, I want to ensure you feel confident, and empowered, and know that it’s okay to still prioritize yourself and your needs—you’re more than just a mom.
I realized that if I had the proper education and opportunity while I was pregnant, it would set me up to succeed in the 4th trimester. I decided to take these ideas one step further and bring it into my bedside nursing. I realized that there was only so much education I could give a mom and her partner while they were laboring. I needed to create something, create a place to fully educate patients from their first trimester and beyond so they will feel confident and alive, not just while being pregnant, but in the years of being a mama!
