Frequently asked questions about labor coaching.

Why does it cost that much?

Having a baby costs a lot to begin with, so I understand that putting even MORE money into it, is a lot to ask.  I am not a doula nor am I a labor nurse... I am the best of both worlds to maximize the education and support you need and deserve.

Life coaching can cost between $500-$1,500 per MONTH! A Business coach can be $500-$5,000 per month and even beyond that! Did you have a wedding planner? The going rate is between $1,000-$2,500 and can be upwards of $8,000! They take the anxiety and stress away from you on an incredibly special day of your life, allowing you to enjoy and BE in every moment of that day. Do you think taking away fear and anxiety on the day you deliver your baby is something you should invest in? Having the knowledge to feel confident in all 4 trimesters of pregnancy will help make those feelings of anxiety and fear melt away. You will be left with a positive birth experience...the birth YOU deserve.

Who is a labor coach for?

In short... EVERYONE!

You as a mama are NOT alone, and YOU as a partner are not alone! You both deserve to have the support you NEED.

If you are a first-time mother

If you are someone who had a traumatic birth experience with a previous child.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety on where you should start in preparing for the birth of your baby

If you feel stressed about delivering to a hospital.

If you want to feel confident in your body inside and out during each trimester of your pregnancy

If you want to feel confident in making the right decisions for you and your baby on the day you deliver.

Why is Nutrition, physical movement and mental health important during pregnancy?

Good nutrition before, during, and after pregnancy is vital for mom and baby. It is important for a balanced diet to fuel your body and grow your baby properly. You will have less complications, more energy, better sleep, reduces the risk of getting sick and successful fetal development. Do you know how much extra protein and iron you should be including in your diet for optimal fetal growth?

Adding in a routine of physical movement during your pregnancy is very beneficial for you and your baby. It can reduce pain, help with constipation, may decrease your risk of gestational diabetes, preeclampsia and cesarean birth, promotes health weight gain during pregnancy, helps prepare you for a lengthy labor by strengthening your heart and blood vessels, helps you feel better in your body after baby is born. As you get closer to your delivery date, exercise can help get your baby in the optimal position for delivery, decreasing your length of labor. It is very important to discuss exercise with your provider in your early prenatal visits.

Pregnancy comes with extreme happiness, but also has some lows, that are rarely spoken about. Did you know that 1 in 5 woman will experience mental illness during or following their pregnancy? The changes in a womans body during pregnancy as well as every day worries that they are responsible for growing their child, can lead to stress (but is totally managable when expressed and talked about). Poor mental health can cause dangers including complications during delivery or cause you to develope a high risk pregnancy. These feelings are often pushed down by the mama to be, and never discussed, causing an increase in these feelings to build up until they are forced to come out. It is important to discuss our feelings throughout pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. Finding out ways to express yourself with your partner prior to deliverying your infant, preparing for hormonal changes, that WILL happen, and the best way to communicate how you are feeling will decrease your anxiety regarding these issues.

What type of payment options do you offer?

The best way to get started is with a FREE consultation. I do not expect you to jump to a contract without meeting me to see if we would be a good fit together. I recommend coming to the consultation with any questions that you would need answered to move forward. If we both feel that we would be a great fit together, that is where the fun begins! We will get to know each other, and work on building your confidence with this new journey!

How do I know you will be there for my delivery?

As with everything in life, there is not a 100% guarantee, but I do my absolute best to be there. My Deluxe bundle clients receive priority birth attendance. Please know that I would be DEVASTATED to miss your birth, as I have grown with you and your partner through this entire process. In the case that I am with other clients or sick, I will work with you to include more postpartum support.

What payments do your accept?

As of right now I am accepting, Venmo and Zelle. You can use a debit/credit card with a 3% addition cost. However if you have an HSA/FSA, you can use the receipt to utilize those benefits.
